Technical data:

Grape variety:

100% Tempranillo.

Vineyards:

Bush vines over 30 years old, yields limited to 1,5 kgs. per vine.

Grape harvest:

From the 1st to the 25th of October.

Fermentation:

In French oak vats, with controlled temperature.

Ageing:

In French oak barrels, 1/3 new, 1/3 second use and 1/3 more uses. 24 months in barrels and 12 months in bottles.

Stabilization:

By natural methods, clarification using only egg whites, without filtration.

Alcohol:

13,5% Vol.

 

Harvest:

  • Quantity and quality.
  • Perfect distribution of the rain.
  • 465,5 mm. of precipitations in the vine-growing year.
  • The weather was excellent during the harvest, very dry October with only 5,3 mm. of precipitations.
  • The fermentations were complicated due to high temperatures.
