RODA cultivates 120 hectares of vineyard, 70 of those are self-owned and the 50 hectares left are from local growers with which we have different agreements. They are distributed in different ecosystems that go from altitudes of 380m to 650m above sea level.

THE KEYS OF RODA'S MODEL
The exhaustive knowledge of the vineyard and its meticulous care, allow us to understand it’s necessities and get unique wines.
1.-
We use old vines that provide our wines with extraordinary qualities.
2.-
Tempranillo, Graciano and Garnacha, native varieties from Rioja, are our distinguishing marks.
3.-
Our vineyards are trained in the classic Riojan “bush vine” formation.
4.-
Sustainable farming: we avoid chemical synthesis products and we bet for the maximum respect of nature’s processes and cycles.
5.-
The selection and the moment are the allies needed for a high-quality wine. One of the most complex operations that requires more effort, is the selection of the vineyards that will be part of RODA and the harvest date.
6.-
Harvest in RODA is done by hand, it is respectful and expert. A group of 40 people, that come every year, pick in 18 Kilo crates, the grapes of the vineyards selected each day.
7.-
The grapes are the reflection of a landscape. They are living beings that capture even the smallest detail of their environment.
DID YOU KNOW THAT...
The Cantabria and the Ibérica mountain range, merge in the Obarenes Mountains, a mountainous barrier only cleaved by the Ebro river. In this area we find the RODA vineyards where the Atlantic, Mediterranean and Continental climates capriciously play.
