Bodegas RODA presents the fourth vintage of its white wine: RODA I Blanco 2022.
It is made from the top of the vineyards typically planted in Rioja with white grapes (mostly Viura, with some Malvasía de Rioja and Garnacha Blanca), specifically those located on the slopes of old Tempranillo vineyards.
Beyond the selection of grapes, this project represents a commitment: to preserve and pass on Rioja's viticultural heritage for the future, keeping alive historic vines that give meaning and character to our land. In this search for old white grape vines, Bodegas RODA has not only selected the best grapes to create a white wine, but has also compiled and preserved the area's viticultural heritage for the future. This plant material has been collected from the El Estepal germplasm bank, which houses more than 300 morphotypes of old viuras from Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa.
