In the late 80’s, a new generation renews the vine
and wine sector. The Rotllant Daurella family arrived
in La Rioja with the firm intention of creating a project able
to provide the world of winemaking with something new.
This is where a fascinating, ambitious, exigent and
unprecedented adventure began: Bodegas RODA.

Bodegas RODA has received the “Sustainability in Rioja” award, awarded by NueveCuatroUno. The key line vineyard project in Cellorigo has been selected as one of the winners in the fourth edition of the Diario de Vendimia Awards. A recognition of all these years of work and effort by the team, always betting on sustainability and trying to provide solutions to the problems that arise.
This project addresses three major problems facing viticulture at the moment:
▫️ Genetic erosion
▫️ Soil erosion
▫️ Climate change

Bodegas Roda S.A., as part of its business strategy, has since 1998 drawn up a policy supporting scientific research, development and technological innovation as a means towards the continual improvement of its competitiveness and growth, the result of which has been the definition and development of successive tri-annual plans of research and development.

Bodegas RODA has received the Sustainable Wineries for Climate Protection certification. It is developed by the Spanish Wine Federation (FEV) and was born in 2015 as the first and only specific certification for wineries in terms of environmental sustainability. The SWfCP certification is aimed at the continuous improvement and sustainability of wineries, acting on four fundamental pillars: Environmental, Social, Economic and Governance.
The Barrio de la Estación Association, formed by Bodegas Bilbaínas, CVNE, Muga, Bodegas Gómez Cruzado, La Rioja Alta, S.A. and Bodegas RODA's main purpose is to promote the wines of the wineries, as well as the tourist development of the neighborhood as a historical center and international reference center for Rioja wine and a quality destination.

Bodegas RODA has joined Wine in Moderation, a unique coalition of responsible wine organizations that believe in a sustainable wine culture.
