Technical data:
Grape varieties:
77% Tempranillo, 23% Garnacha
Vineyards:
Bush vines over 30 years old, yields limited to 1,5 kgs. per vine.
Grape harvest:
From the 1st to the 25th of October.
Fermentation:
In French oak vats, with controlled temperature.
Ageing:
1/3 brand new, 1/3 second use and 1/3 more uses, French oak barrels. 24 months in barrels and 12 months in bottles.
Stabilization:
Completely natural methods, clarification using only egg whites.
Alcohol:
13,5% Vol.
Harvest:
Quantity and quality.
Perfect distribution of the rain.
465,5 mm. of precipitations in the vine-growing year.
The weather was excellent during the harvest, very dry October with only 5,3 mm. of precipitations.
The fermentations were complicated due to the high temperatures.
