Technical data:
Grape varieties:
82% Tempranillo, 12% Garnacha, 6% Graciano
Vineyards:
Bush vines over 30 years old, yields limited to 1,5 kgs. per vine.
Grape harvest:
From the 9th to the 27th of October.
Fermentation:
In French oak vats, with controlled temperature.
Ageing:
In 50% brand new and 50% second use, French oak barrels. 16 months in barrels and 20 months in bottles.
Stabilization:
Completely natural methods, clarification using only egg whites.
Alcohol:
13% Vol.
Harvest:
The year of the short cycle.
36 days with temperatures below 0ºC during the winter.
478,6 mm. of precipitations in the vine-growing year.
A frost on the 16th of April, reaching -4,5ºC that devastated the region.
September was rainy and a very good month of October.
A limited production. Exorbitant prices of the grape.
(The grapes of the frozen vines were better according to the quantity, those vines which were not frozen had many grapes.)
