A huge drought in summer. During 14 days, the temperatures have risen above 30ºC. 482,5 mm. of precipitations in the vine-growing year. An excellent response of the vineyards with depth roots, specially the old vineyards with no much production. A very rainy winter, a usual spring and a very dry summer.
Selected bunches from different plots. Applied methods from own research and development on polymerisation of tannins and anthocyanins.
The second week of October.
In French oak vats, with controlled temperature.
In 100% brand new French oak barrels. 8 months in barrels and 4 months in bottles.
By natural methods, clarification using only egg whites without filtration.
High layer with a dark cherry background and red rim.
It is very intense with a very marked leather attack. Fruit and earth can be appreciated but at this moment the leather is covering it.
Also in the mouth the sensation of leather is very present and masks the greatness of the wine.
Below you can see the black fruit in a wine with great volume and a lot of presence. There is a certain liquorous sensation that indicates the origin of a Mediterranean vintage.
