Good intensity with fruit present with a red profile and well balanced black notes. There is a fabric of sweet spices and through it the cherry and plum stand out.
Palate:
It has medium volume, is very fresh, maintains the presence of fruit well and has a good aftertaste. Between the two fruits, at this moment the red profile wins over the black.
It stays alive with certain classic notes but marking the elegance and finesse of the RODA I. It is very long and rich in nuances and is living better than I expected coming from a vintage as complicated as 1992.
With this wine we got our first important award, when the Gourmet Guide rated us in the 1996 edition as the best reserve in Spain.
Tasting held in Haro on March 29th, 2017
