
CLIMATIC CYCLE
There was only Roda II, there was not grapes for Roda I.
Grape varieties:
81% Tempranillo, 19% Garnacha.
Vineyards:
Bush vines over 30 years old, yields limited to 1,5 kgs. per vine.
Grape harvest:
From the 2nd to the 22nd of October.
Fermentation:
In French oak vats, with controlled temperature, 30ºC.
Ageing:
1/3 brand new, 1/3 second use and 1/3 more uses, French oak barrels. 24 months in barrels and 12 months in bottles.
Stabilization:
Completely natural methods, clarification using only egg whites.
Alcohol:
13% Vol.
Packaging:
Cardboard cases of 6 and 12 bottles.
Bottles produced:
3.575 bottles of 37,5 cl, 64.710 bottles of 75 cl and 492 bottles of 1,5 l.
Colour:
Open, red background and orange edging, a little more covered than 92.
Nose:
Intense and very fine, with clear notes of red fruit in the cherry range, traces of candied orange peel and ash. Very suggestive and enigmatic nose.
Palate:
Thin wine, even sharp, fresh, with lively tannins, with more presence than 92, with well-marked acidity. The fruit is very red and fresh with a clear spicy component. A little rustic but with a lot of life.
