RODA
Represents of one the two profiles of the ripening of Tempranillo: the red fruit.
In RODA we look for the parcels that that year have ripened in a red fruit profile, with the expression of the aromas present in the edge of the glass, ready to be felt immediately; with sweet spice notes and a kind freshness. In the mouth the red fruit carries the importance, with a fresh, long, silky, voluptuous and continuous mouth pass. Before vintage 2002, RODA was called RODA II.

TASTING

Colour:

Medium layer, slightly less than 95, with a red background and orange rim.

Nose:

Very intense with floral notes that stand out over the red fruit and notes of fine leather. The aromatic composition is very peculiar and complex. Very fresh, with a sensation of cherry.

Palate:

Good volume, very expressive, the red fruit appears clearly and there are also notes of fine leather.

The tannin is delicately present.

It is a wine that has positively surprised me after not tasting it for a long time, although there are some notes of an animal character between the fruits and flowers that can make it somewhat more difficult than usual.

Tasting held in Haro on March 29, 2017
