
CLIMATIC CYCLE
A dry and warm summer which caused a drought situation. A rainy September and a dry October. 517,7 mm. of precipitations in the vine-growing year.
Grape varieties:
73% Tempranillo, 27% Garnacha.
Vineyards:
Bush vines over 30 years old, yields limited to 1,5 kgs. per vine.
Grape harvest:
From the 9th to the 27th of October.
Fermentation:
In French oak vats, with controlled temperature.
Ageing:
In 60% brand new and 40% second use, French oak barrels. 16 months in barrels and 20 months in bottles.
Stabilization:
Completely natural methods, clarification using only egg white.
Alcohol:
13% Vol.
Colour:
Medium layer, red background and edging with evolution in the line of orange tones.
Nose:
With good intensity, in the profile of ripe fruit, with a point of liquor and the sensation of herbal candies.
It is less evolved on the nose than one might expect from looking at the color.
The memory is the fine herb caramel and the cherry in liqueur.
Palate:
It is very silky, of medium volume with the sensation of red fruit, in this case ripe cherry and aromatic herbs.
Despite having a Mediterranean character, there is freshness in the wine.
